Friends, Sandy and Eric will be evaluating our path-forward on a daily basis. We intend to remain open as long as we are healthy and legally allowed, but will cancel our next two events: Tap into Fillmore County History on Friday March 20 and Spring Fling on March 21. As of this post, our other events will remain as scheduled, but please check back for updates.

With regard to safety: Our beer is dispensed from a closed and pressurized system, so it cannot be infected at the source. If there is any infection risk from product, it would come downstream as the product is exposed to people. Therefore, we fill only clean and sanitized containers, while avoiding contact with the edge of the glass and the spout of the faucet. We always follow established food safety protocols. We also monitor our own health and will remove ourselves from behind the bar if we have a cough or other risk factors.

The corona virus is not known to be food borne, but is passed through person-to-person contact, from one respiratory system to another. We breathe, so that’s an issue . . . but the likelihood of transmission drops precipitously with distance. Thus the concept of social distancing. We also recognize that humans are a social species and many businesses that drive our local economy are social businesses. With that in mind, each of us must accept some risk if we are to leave our homes and each of us must accept responsibility for our friends and family who are at higher risk. We are very grateful for your support, and trust that you will balance risk appropriately.
